LILLIAN WRIGHT
It is with great sorrow after a brief illness that we announce the passing of Lillian Wright at the age of 74.
Lillian was married to Lawrence “Larry” Wright. They shared a wonderful 54 years together.
Lillian is survived by her husband Lawrence; sons Chris Wright (Millie) and Alex Wright (Jolene); daughters Sandra Shepard (Tim) and Sharon Walsh (Sean); eight grandchildren Nathan, Jeremy, Jordan, Ella, Aliyah, Matthew, Joshua, and Jenna; sister Helga Myles and brother Vern Shoenberger, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Hans and Ernie.
Lil worked at the Assiniboine Clinic where she ran the cafeteria for 20 plus years. She later left the clinic to run the cafeteria at Wawanesa. She was employed there until she suffered a stroke in 2003.
Lillian loved working in her yard. Mom was blessed with a green thumb. Her love for violets could be seen in her home. Before Lillian suffered her first stroke she loved to crochet, quilt and needle point.
Mom and Dad spent many summers camping. One of their favorite places was Asessippi. Where they enjoy many fishing trips with their faithful companion Pepper.
Mom was an avid baker. She loved to bake. She was often asked to bring baking to family functions. And always did. She could make a mean sausage roll. And every Christmas her freezer would be full of baking.
Lillian loved meeting and talking to new people. Everywhere she went she ran into someone she knew. No matter what was going on Lil always had time to talk or listen to people she knew or didn’t know. If you looked up the term people person, it would say Lil.
P.S. Mom, Dad got another dog. We know you're up there shaking your head.
We love you mom.
Your memory will live on in our hearts forever.
