ALBERT CHARLES WEBER
After a lengthy illness, Albert (affectionately known as Abby) passed away with family by his side, in the Riverview Health Centre on December 13, 2018 at the age of 64 years.
Albert is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Celine; sons Michel (Bonnie) and Adrian (Andrea) Weber; daughter Jaqueline (Leoz) Rafaeli; grandsons Xavier and Eli Wber; granddaghters Hannah, Hailey, and Hayden Weber; brother Charlie Weber; as well as sisters Eleanor Weber and Susan (Gary) Dowhy.
Abby was the first born to Charlie and Lorraine Weber in Churchill, Manitoba. The Weber family moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba where Abby attended Westwood Collegiate and the University of Manitoba. Abby met the love of his life, Celine while they were both working at the Hickory House restaurant in St James and they were married shortly thereafter.
After the arrival of their first born son Michel, Abby started his construction business 'AC Weber Enterprises Ltd'. Following the birth of Adrian and Jaqueline the Weber's moved from Truro Street to Woodhaven Blvd where Abby and his family became very active in the Woodhaven Park Community Centre. Abby was an avid golfer, enjoyed travelling, but most of all spending time with his family. After a lengthy struggle with multiple sclerosis and early onset dementia which he endured with grace and stoicism, Abby passed away at Riverview Health Centre surround by his family.
One time, Abby also bowled a perfect game.
The family would like to thank all of the wonderful staff at Riverview Health Centre for providing Abby with loving care and compassion.
A Celebration of Life will be held between 1:00 - 4:00 pm on May 11, 2019 at the Woodhaven Community Centre located at 200 Glendale Blvd. in Winnipeg, MB.
