SCOTT CHARLES STEVENSON
Sadly we announce the passing of Scott, our beloved son and brother, Scott Charles Stevenson, January 30, 1984 – December 14, 2019. Scott leaves to mourn his mom and dad, Sue and Bill; his older brother, Jeff; plus uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, colleagues, as well as past and present students.
Growing up, Scott was involved in a number of athletic activities. Although Scott was legally blind in one eye and was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes during his teen years, Scott was still able to excel at each activity, soccer, softball, 5-pin bowling, hockey, volleyball, basketball, badminton. He was gifted with both academic and athletic abilities throughout his life. Whether help was needed to renovate a room, install audio/visual equipment, replace an engine or any other task, Scott would simply look online then tackle the challenge confidently.
During his adult life, Scott continued to be involved in sports and enjoyed playing slo-pitch, co-ed volleyball and hockey. However, his greatest love was being a teacher and coach. He had been a member of the staff at Morris School during these past 6 years, putting in extra hours on a daily basis, helping students academically as well as coaching several school teams each year.
