PAUL POLUSNY
A photo-tribute will be added to this page in the coming days. Please check back for updates.
Peacefully, with his family at his side, Paul Polusny passed away after a short battle with kidney cancer in the Riverview Health Centre on Friday, December 15, 2017 at the age of 65. Paul was the beloved husband of Joanne Hampson and father to Cornelia Wiebe (Jon) and Dahlia MacRae (Aaron), and grandfather to Vaughn and Farrah.
Paul was an academic, enjoying and excelling at everything he pursued. His intelligence always provided stimulating discussions and questions.
Paul’s early career took him to finance with the Scotiabank. After leaving the bank he worked with his father to build Northern Queen Apiaries, as a honey producer. Paul spent many years working with H&R Block as a tax preparer and instructor. In recent years, he created PMP Tax Solutions, a business developed to help people with their tax needs.
Paul had a lifelong passion for golf. He was known to play at least one round of golf every day at his second home, Rossmere Golf & Country Club. Paul also spent many volunteer hours at the club in any capacity that was needed, usually anything that involved math. His easy-going demeanor, attention to detail, and sense of humour were enjoyed by those that were in his company. These traits easily explain the close relationships he generated during the many hours spent at Rossmere, that developed into a second family.
A reception will be held on Thursday January 4th, 2 – 4 p.m. at Rossmere Golf & Country Club.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorial contributions to the Rossmere Golf & Country Club Junior Golf Program, 925 Watt St, Winnipeg, MB R2K 2T4, would be sincerely appreciated by Paul’s family.
