DAVID ARTHUR ORANGE
Dave made lifelong friends over the years from his days at Manitoba Hydro, W.M. Dyck and Sons, Star Building Materials, Richelieu, and Doortech. He loved drafting and had such knowledge of building materials, technical, homes and design. Dave was a person of never-ending knowledge. He loved to read and had an absolute love of all music, whether it was playing a guitar by the campfire, going to numerous concerts, or just sitting at home: the music was always on.
For over twenty-five years he looked forward to his monthly poker games with friends. He was a proud member of the Jaceys, he enjoyed curling games and Bonspiels, and soft-ball. Over the last ten years, he spent lots of his time traveling — he loved it so much.
He has been to California, Florida, Memphis, Las Vegas, and his most favorite place that he loved: New Orleans.
Dave has visited New Orleans approximately nine times. He loved the food, the music, the atmosphere, the history, and the people. Never without his dear friend, Micheal Harder, at his side traveling and having adventures in the South. It was a very special place for them. From gator farms, swamp tours, plantation houses, and just exploring the area.
Dave loved his family, his daughters, and his grandchildren. His love was apparent as soon as you walked into his home and saw the walls covered in pictures of them.
A celebration of Dave's life will take place on Friday, November 24th from 1:00 - 3:00 pm at the Winakwa Community Centre, 980 Winakwa Road.
Family and friendship were very important to Dave.
We will miss you and we love you.
