Joseph  Multan

JOSEPH MULTAN

Peacefully in his 90th year, Joseph Multan passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital.

 

Jospeh was born in Poland to Jan Multan and Michalina Bilinska. He was the third of four children. In 1940 Joseph and his family were deported to Siberia, where his dad passed away after only 8 months. In 1942 the family moved to Pakistan where they lived for 7 years. In 1948 they relocated to the UK where they stayed in Wales for a time before flying to Canada. Their first stop was Halifax, NS. From there they continued to Ethelbert, MB where his mother’s brother had a farm. Later on in the year they moved to Winnipeg where Joe lived until his passing.

 

Joseph was predeceased by his mother; brother Frank; brothers-in-law Tolek Kopanski and Karol Franczyk, as well as nephew Edward Franczyk.

 

He will be remembered not only by his daughters Angela (Matt) and Lee (Art) and their children, but also by his sisters Maria, Janet and family.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Drs. Brown and Buhler and the staff at the Seven Oaks Hospital.

 

Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
