LESLIE MURRAY
JANUARY 3, 1932 – OCTOBER 23, 2015
It is with sad and heavy hearts we announce the unexpected passing of Leslie Murray at the Health Sciences Centre.
He is survived by his beloved wife, of 60 years, Peggy; two sons Scott and Colin; daughters Cheryl (Bob) Briercliffe and Andrea; grandchildren Winston and Spencer; sister Freda Cameron; brother Ken as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters Kathy, Violet, Essie, Bet and brothers Ron and Frederick.
Les arrived from England when he was 17, attended school, met his wife and built a life for himself in Winnipeg. He enjoyed family and friends and many hours spent gardening and on other hobbies. He was an unforgettable character and deeply loved by all who knew him.
A service of remembrance will be held at the Tamarack Room in the Qualico Family Centre at Assiniboine Park on Friday, November 6th, 2015 at 1:00 pm.
The family would like to thank the staff of Surgical ICU at HSC for their exceptional care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
