WILLIAM LOUIS LEBRUN

"BILL"

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William (Bill) LeBrun who passed away peacefully, at the age of 91 years, on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at St. Boniface Hospital.

Bill was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Kate; sister Kathleen and brother Raymond.

He is survived by his longtime companion and soulmate of 30+ years, Therese Pellerin; Therese’s children, Julie (Diane), Lorraine (John), and Yvonne (Mike); Bill’s brother, Philip (June); sister-in-law, Betty LeBrun (Raymond); nieces and nephews, Michael (Monique), Garth (late Nancy), Brett (Carole), Lori (Rick), Shana (David), and Kathy (Denis), as well as 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Bill was born in Keewatin, Ontario before moving to Winnipeg, Manitoba where he spent the rest of his time working and living life to the fullest. Bill and Therese travelled for many, many years via plane, cruise or bus, making the most of their time away.

Bill was a master machinist, working as a Fleet Manager, Shop Foreman, and industrial cleaning equipment sales and service manager. Throughout his life he lived his passion for building and flying small aircraft. He was highly respected in the Springfield Flying Club where his legacy continues for future generations who vie the many items Bill handcrafted. Every time we refill our aircrafts, we will think of Bill who built the refueling stairs and hose cabinet, among many other items used at the airport. Bill will be sadly missed by his flying friends at the Springfield Club, with special acknowledgement to Vic (Dorthy) Prefontaine, George Davis and Jill (Rick) Oakes.

A private gathering for friends and family will be held at a later date to celebrate Bill's life.

A special thank you to the staff at St. Boniface General Hospital, for the care and compassion they provided during Bill's final days.
