LARRY KOZODY
With great sorrow we announce the sudden passing of our brother and uncle, Larry Kozody. Sadly, Larry left us on the morning of October 10, 2018 at the age of 65. Larry was born in Beausejour, Manitoba and raised in Winnipeg.
Larry was predeceased by his mother, Leona Kozody (Niznick), in 2016 and his father, Alex Kozody, in 2000. Larry will be sadly missed by his partner Frances, his brother and sisters, his brother-in-laws and sister -in-laws, many nephews, nieces and cousins, and his rabbit “Bugsy”.
From an early age, Larry enjoyed working with his dad on the farm. He was very close with his family as he was constantly in touch with them.
Larry had a zest for life and could be found walking everywhere. You could find him in a Tim Hortons talking to all the people in a way that would seem like he had known them his whole life. Larry was definitely a people person. He loved talking and participating in family events. Larry was generous with the little money he had and loved to buy Christmas presents, taking time to choose a special gift he knew you would love and watch with pleasure as you opened it.
Larry was an avid sports fan, cheering on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Jets. You could always find him in his game day jersey. But when there was no game on he had his TV off and his radio blaring Johnny Cash.
Larry was grateful for the many visitors at Parkview Place where he last resided. The family would like to thank the staff at Parkview for their care, compassion and attention they gave Larry throughout the years.
Larry will be laid to rest in the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, during a private family graveside service.
