DONIS RENE JORDAN
Sadly, after a life long fight with illness on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2019 Donis died at the age of 61.
Donis will be very much missed and devotedly remembered by her cherished husband Ken; son Lucas (Andrea); daughter Angelica (Josh); step-daughter Des Neiges (Mike); and granddaughters Arianna, Willow, Brooke, and Seanna. Also mourning her loss are her siblings Dwayne; Kathy (Ron); brother in law Duane (Karen) and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Pearl and Fred Dulaney and her sister Karen.
Born November 21, 1958 in Tucson, Arizona, Donis was the third eldest of four children. Donis was a very intelligent person, graduating second in her class as salutatorian, she could not complete the physical tests to be first in her class due to Muscular Dystrophy. She became a legal assistant after graduation. Her greatest joy in life was her children Lucas and Angelica. She was told that having children would cause her disability to become worse. Yet she remained undeterred in her decision to become a mother. Raising children with an ailment which confined her to a wheelchair, Donis was an amazing mother. She was someone who was easy to talk to, understanding and nurturing.
Donis met the love of her life, Ken, through a gaming platform called PoGo. After their first faithful meeting their love blossomed and flourished. Donis immigrated to Canada to spend her life with Ken. Her children followed shortly after with Ken sponsoring them all. Eventually Donis became a grandmother to four beautiful girls; Arianna (Lucas' daughter); Willow (Angelica's daughter); Brooke and Seanna (Des Neiges' daughters). Donis was an extremely proud 'Memaw', always doting, affectionate, and warm. She took joy in spending time with each of "her girls", reading to them, telling them stories of the past, and listening to music together. Donis was a force not to be reckoned with. With such a strong spirit, it would be hard to not shine a light on everyone she met and that's just what she did. Donis' beautiful disposition always enabled her to make friends with everyone she met. She touched the lives of so many people and will leave so many memorable thoughts and feelings in their hearts.
Donis did not want a ceremony. The family would like to thank everyone for their well wishes and prayers. Donations can be made to; https://www.gofundme.com/f/funeralambulance-expenses to go towards helping the family deal with the medical and cremation bills.
We love you Mom.
One more day, one more time. One more sunset, maybe I'd be satisfied. But then again, I know what I would do. Leave me wishing still, for one more day with you.
In a place so vast of imperfections, a sight of heavenly projection left to wonder sight of selection, an Arizona Sunset. In my sight, a shining light. I never seen a woman shine so bright. She was my sunset of the night, From the accent of the cloud, to the beauty that speaks soft but loud, a beauty re-found.
A rebirth of art everyday you were awoken. A sunset of words perfect how spoken as a flower in spring freshly opened. After the day a moment of peace, till the sunsets fully deceased. To resurrect the morning in the A.M discreet. A picture without fold speaks a thousand words to hold. You're a diamond in this city of gold, gasped without words a glorious scene. Picasso painted but this isn't dreamed, God paints this so no art can deem.
An Arizona sunset is what you are, a beauty aroma stretched so far. You are beautiful like Earth's first star, an Arizona sunset.
