Suddenly on Tuesday, February 19, 2019, Grace Gustafson, our beloved mother, passed away peacefully in the Brandon Regional Hospital at the age of 65 years.

 

Grace is survived by her children Michelle (Jason) Smith, Jason Gustafson and Dawn (Patrick) Pinette; grandchildren Haydn, Riley, Chelsea and three foster granddaughters. She is also survived by her mother Cecile Benoit; brother Gilbert (Ely) Benoit; sisters Jane (Neil) Kehler and Angel (Wayne) Oberick as well as a number of nieces, nephews and friends.

 

She is predeceased by her father Doria Benoit and brother Andre Benoit.

 

Grace loved to surround herself with family and friends, especially her grandchildren (both biological and foster) whom she absolutely adored. Some of Grace’s favorite past times included playing card games or bingo, which would often bring out her competitive spirit. She was also a fabulous cook, her tasty treats and delicious meals will certainly be missed by all.

 

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Grace’s name to CancerCare Manitoba.
