Arnold Clearwater

September 1, 1929 - June 26, 2019

My Dad, Arnold Clearwater, passed away peacefully at Jocelyn House Hospice at the age of 89 years.

He was predeceased by his loving wife Vivian of 53 years, two brothers, Roland, Murray, and sister Thelma.

Arnold is survived by his son Randy Clearwater, sister in law Muriel Clearwater, three grandchildren Marcia Hovdebo, Wendy Scheske, and Wesley Clearwater and seven great grandchildren Téa, Mia, Kiera, Finley, Lily, William and Elizabeth.

My family would like to extend their profound appreciation to the staff at Jocelyn House Hospice for their outstanding care and comfort they provided to my dad Arnold during his final days.

My Dad always said “ if women don’t find you handsome they better find you handy” Well my Dad was both!  Indeed, Arnold was a magnetic man who loved a good looking woman (especially my mom Vivian) , a good strong drink, a slow dance, a fast car, and most of all a good spicy joke.

My Dad started his working career with CN rail working various positions, then worked for the Esso and B/A oil companies, and then finished with the Manitoba Motor League for 25 years. Once retired he obtained his Real Estate license to work with his nephew Lyle Foster selling houses for Greentree Homes and for Foster Built Homes.

Dad lived his last 15 years in Park City Meadows Condos where he made an abundance of good friends and good memories.  However, the best memories he made and best laughs he shared were with his great and devoted life long friend (companion and accomplice!) Muriel Clearwater.
