Ron Baldwin

December 29, 1943 – December 21, 2017

Major (Ret.) Ronald Eric Baldwin peacefully passed away December  21, 2017.

Ron was predeceased by his parents, Eric and Mary Baldwin, and his beloved wife Sandra Baldwin. He is survived by Stan Baldwin, Shauna Urbanowski, Marc Baldwin and their families.

Ron will be forever loved and sadly missed by his wife, soulmate and best friend Beverley Harland.  He will be missed and remembered with love by daughter Heather (Cameron), and Darin (Jen & Ari) Harland.

He enjoyed his career  in the Canadian Forces as a fighter jet pilot, flight instructor and engineer, and Bristol Aerospace as engineer project manager where he had the opportunity to live and travel  across Canada, Europe and Africa. Throughout  his life, Ron loved to build and fly radio controlled airplanes and was a contributing member to many Radio Control Clubs. Ron and Sandra spent many years sailing their boat "Windwalker" on Lake Winnipeg and enjoyed their friendships in the sailing community at Gull Harbour.

In his later retirement years, Ron and Beverley bought a home in the country and together they created a rural paradise with manicured lawns, beautiful flowers, and rock landscaping. Their home was filled with love and laughter,  happily shared with their dogs and cats as well as the numerous stained glass projects they were always working on together. Summers were spent at Lake of the Woods enjoying boating, cottage life and relaxing. Ron was an amazing man with many skills and talents who could accomplish anything he chose to do and he loved to be busy.

Ron loved his retirement life, his family, his home, his fur babies, and his friends, and he was adored, respected and appreciated by those who knew and loved him.

At Ron's request, there will be no funeral service. His loved ones will have a celebration of his life at his favorite place on Goat Island, LOW in the spring

Rest in Peace Sweetheart - You will live on in our hearts forever.
