ALICE KERR

(née Carette)

December 12, 1953 - March 6, 2016

Peacefully on March 6, 2016 Alice Kerr passed away at the Riverview Health Centre.

Alice was a special lady with a big heart. Generous in every way, she was loved and appreciated by many. Strong and independent, Alice worked hard throughout her life to provide for her family. Her sense of humour, her laugh and her compassionate ear will be missed by all.

Survived by children, Justin and Correne (Rene); grandson Spencer; brothers and sisters Neil (Paulette), Jim (Jodi), Lizzy and Sharon (Ron) and numerous nieces and nephews. Special friends, Brad, Caroline, Sherry and Tiffany. She joins in heaven her parents Betty and Julien Carrette; brothers and sisters Bernie (Fritz) Hanssen, Don Carrette, Mary (Ron) Creek, Joseph Carrette and Gerard (LeighAnn) Carrette and by niece Nicole Carrette Johannesson.

A special thanks to those who were there for Alice over the last few months. Her wonderful siblings, her loving nieces and terrific friends from Extra Foods were a great comfort to her.

Alice has left us here on earth but will live in our hearts forever.

A private service will be held later in the month.

My deepest condolences to family and friends. Alice was a wonderful women of quiet strength with a deep understanding of our short time on earth. Her advice to me, when I lost my companion and I searched for reasons to go on was simply, "To embrace life for all it had to offer:" This stayed with me and it did give me the strength to go on.
