IRIS AHLGREN (MITCHELL)

Peacefully at home in Richer, MB on January 13, 2018, Iris (mom) took her last breath and was free. She will be missed by her children, Rita and Abraham Bissessar in Richer, MB, and Susan Ahlgren in Grande Prairie, AB.; along with her grandchildren, Erica and Devin, Matthew and Taylor, Stephanie and Alex, Jacklyn and Shaun; as well as one great-grandchild, Eric. She will be greatly missed by her sisters and brothers- in-law, Dolores and Nick Stewart from Winnipeg, Diane Wybrow in Minneapolis, MN, Linda and John Cloutier in Nanaimo, BC, and her nieces and nephews.

She now joins her mother, father, and older brother but leaves behind love and memories that will never fade. She provided a wonderful life for her daughters by working hard and showing the importance of family.

Mom loved to sit by the river in Kildonan Park and watch the river boats pass as she read a book and we played. Summer trips to BC to visit her sister were also a highlight of her life. In later years, she continued to take the trips to BC to visit her sister, as well as her younger daughter, and trips to Minneapolis to visit her sister, where the adventures were abundant.

We would like to send our gratitude and thanks to Southern Health Home Care staff from Ste Anne, MB and the Palliative Staff that provided us amazing care and guidance so we could keep mom home as she wished.

Iris did not want a service, but desired to have her ashes scattered in places that she loved. A private moment will be held in September. One last road trip for mom and daughters... just as it had been when we were kids. Love you mom!
