JACOB HUGH ADAMS-MULLIGAN
Tragically, on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 Jacob, or as his friends and family knew him, 'Jake', passed away.
Left to cherish his loving memory are his mother Cindy, father Russ, grandparents Dexter and Eve, sister Jocelyn (Bryan), brother Keiffer, stepfather Calvin, Nanny Lillian, nephews Sean & Jayden, and niece Jennel.
Jake was predeceased by his great-grandparents Betha and Paul Adams, John and Mary Rokosz, Lt.Cl Kenneth & Wilma Mulligan R.N, and his fun loving Uncle Orland Adams 'OJ'.
Jacob was a very happy child, always smiling and full of life. Days best spent snuggling with his mom. Jacob grew up in South Osborne 'Fort Rouge' where he met many friends, some he is still friends with today. In the summers we went to visit our grandparent in Edmonton where we did things like visit West Edmonton mall's GalaxyLand, museums, and we spent a lot of time at the wave pools.
Jacob started working at the age of fourteen at a flooring company with Eric, and continued to work on as a floor layer up until his passing. Jake enjoyed playing guitar, listening to music, skateboarding, reading books, gaming out with his mother and nephew Sean, and a good documentary.
Jake was a very caring and generous person, I know it's cliché to say, but he would give the sweater off his back in a heartbeat for those in need without question.
Jake was also a animal person, specifically cats. I remember as kids, Jacob's room was in the back den on Nassau street, and at that time we had a cat named Barney that Jacob adored and vice-versa. That night, Jake left his window open, and throughout the night some of the neighborhood cats came through his window and just laid with him. There must have been 10 - 15 cats laying in his room when I woke up that morning.
Jacob was blessed to have two 'families'. When he wasn't with his immediate family or other friends, he was with his other family Eric, Sherry, Jeff and Kass, Page and Clayton. They did things like beach trips and play video games: it was some of his best times in life. He'd always come home with a funny story to tell.
Jake will be missed by many people. His pallbearers will be close friends and family.
Jacob's Celebration of Life will be held on November 23rd, 2017 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at the First Unitarian Universalist Church, 603 Wellington Crescent, Winnipeg, Manitoba
